You may know the hit song “Fireflies” by owl city, but there’s more to that!

First of all, Owl City isn’t a band, and it especially isn’t owls! It was a musical project by a guy named Adam Young. It was started in Adam’s parents’ basement while he worked at a Coca-cola warehouse, and turned into species of music of his results of insomnia (A symptom which can accompany several sleep, medical, and psychiatric disorders). Owl City developed a following through his MySpace profile before being signed to Universal Republic. His origin was in Owatonna, Minnesota. I have all of the songs that appear on his 2nd full-length album, Ocean Eyes (the album “Fireflies” was on) on my iTunes.

And yet, I still listen to his music to this day.
