Have you ever REALLY wanted to be on Sammwak, but then got that call from your parents for lunch, while your dad is gluing his eyes on CNN or MSNBC and such? Have you thought, “Gee, why can’t I get the news from Sammwak?” Fans, your time has come.

Meet SamMwak News, the segment that has all the beans so you don’t have to. Everyone knows how video game consoles (especially Wiis or Xbox 360s) have skyrocketed in prices up to $500. But, for parents planning to buy these for kids, look them over before handing them over. Because married couple Alicia and Bill Elam find the biggest surprise in their Nintendo DSi.

Alicia and Bill thought they were doing it smart and frugal, by buying a used Nintendo DSi from GameStop for their 6-year old son. Alicia said “he’s 6-years-old and I can’t see buying a new one for a 6-year-old. They drop things, things happen.”

But Alicia soon rued her words as soon as her son powered up the DSi. What was seen next was simply a porno pic taken by the system’s previous owner with the unit’s camera. I can’t explain what kind of porno to all those young ears, but the CNN news reporter said, “…Let’s just say they didn’t get Super Mario.”

Alicia says she ran back to GameStop, where the manager was understanding, apologized, and swapped her with a new DSi for absolutely no charge. But it can happen anywhere: Internet postings and news reports tell of eBay sellers and even other stores selling used game systems up with porn hidden on them.

So the bottom line is, for parents, if you buy especially a handheld console for your child(ren), please do check it over before slipping it over. Because you never know what kind of stuff gets on those things. If you want a better story and (gulp) even the video,  click here!

This has been the first issue of SamMwak News for January. Check back for more juicy and hilarious biz-and-beans from yours truly!

Sincerely yours,

Samuel Mwakasisi, News Reporter
