Hey guys it’s Sam, and my birthday is now just four days away. Can I get some applause?********Thank you. Now, it’s time for another time to dig up a fresh YouTube treasure, mateys! Our last treasure took place 2 weeks ago in a rather dorkly series of events, so it should be time to dig up another one, right? A lot of people make a lot of stick figure videos on YouTube (even I was originally capable of doing so, but I was underage at the time), and with a lucky run, they go viral. And by viral, I mean at least 10 million views apiece. I know a lot of stick figure videos out there aren’t at milestones this high (but are still hoping to do so), but there’s only one person I know who has done so. His name is TomSka, and whether you’ve heard of his “ASDF (pronounced as-duff) Movie” series or not, he’s a pretty funny guy, and I’ve got proof.
Rated E10+ for ages 10 and up for violence including blood, fire, explosions, guns, and slapstick, mild/suggestive language, and strong humor.
There’s also one other video I wanted to show you, the video that gave this post its clever name. This video is the only known TomSka stick-figure video that hasn’t reached a minimum of 10 million hits yet, but I’m not criticizing Tom or any of his fans. If you’ve seen all the videos, you’ve most likely seen a recurring gag: a kid that stares at the camera and says “I like trains.” before being hit by a train. Well, guess what? He got his own video! Known as the “I Like Trains Kid”, the next video is a song about the story of our famous recurring gag, and it’s surpassed 7.5 million hits since September 2011.
Rated E10+ for ages 10 and up for blood, mild violence including trains, and severe humor.
(If you see this, comment “I like trains” in the section below.)
Like what you saw from this post? Go and subscribe to TomSka’s channel and check out more of his stuff! (By the way, all the ASDF Movie installments like “asdfmovie5“, for example, are all fakes. TomSka hasn’t released a fifth ASDFMovie video yet, but in the future, just cross your fingers and hope he will. ) And also like, rate, and comment to our little channels as well, and make sure to hit that subscribe button good, just jump kick it in the face. Come back next Monday for some new awesomeness when I’m now an age older!
Hey guys it’s Sam, and remember when you used to be a kid, or at least a baby? Maybe that time is now, and if it is, I have to ask you, “What was your favorite children’s hero?” I mean, the kids show you grew up with and knew and loved. My personal fave is Franklin the turtle, who got his own show adapted from his book series on Noggin. (that’s what they called Nick Jr. back in the day)
I cherished this lean, green, tot-lovable machine ever since I was probably five or six. And after watching a couple reruns last Thursday night (ha! Take that, Katy Perry), I wanted to talk about it here on Sammwak. Some other kids’ shows I knew were The Upside Down Show, Dora, Blue’s Clues, The Backyardigans, Wow Wow Wubbzy!, Yo Gabba Gabba, you name it, I’ve probably seen it. But Franklin is probably the top of them all.
Kids’ shows were usually how tots got along, whether they were being taught to count (Dora, Team Umizoomi) while also embarking on an adventure, or experiencing misadventures as lessons in life. (Franklin, Wow Wow Wubbzy!) Children’s shows were basically children; you had to keep track of them, you loved them with all your heart.
Apparently, my sister had other ideas of cherished children’s shows.
Yep, as a kid, Little Bear was my sister’s hero (created by Maurice Sendak, author of Where the Wild Things Are). And I admit it, I did grow up with him too, just a tad bit. Now it’s for you to beat feet and spill the beans. Who’s your favorite kids show hero?
Well anyway, that’s all the beans to spill today on Sammwak! Check back for more beans, especially when they get the bake, the fry, or the black eye!
Hey, it’s Sam. And yes, title says all, it’s finally here. You’ve waited through snow, rain, and sunshine to get it. You’ve literally been on the streets crying for this book. And here it is. Ladies and gentlemen and wimpy kids everywhere…I give you, Cabin Fever.
The sixth and upcoming novel in Kinney’s phenomenal series, the spirits in the sky have brought not a pillow, or a sheet, but a blanket…a blanket of snow! In our next look at the house on Surrey Street, this Thanksgiving the subsidiary of Abrams is back to present the next wimpy adventure. The sky spirits may have brought a blanket too big of snow, because the Heffleys are snowed in via a blizzard! So Greg gets claustrophobic having to deal with family.

PUBLISHER? Amulet Books
MEDIA TYPE? Paperback and hardcover
OFFICIAL ROWLEY APPEARANCE? Not exactly
Making its unofficial announced debut in the previous book as “more Diary of a Wimpy Kid“, then being mentioned once more as “Diary of a Wimpy Kid 6“, the big announcement was actually in the summer; June 16, to be exact. Barnes & Noble are already hosting pre-orders for a big buster of $8.37, with Amazon hosting their own pre-orders for the same big price. Did I mention that an audiobook is being released when the book is? 😀 😀 😀 😀
And here is the big achievement Cabin Fever received–the next book to get a 6-million copy first-printing, the biggest printing to date! (According to Publishers Weekly) And Abrams, as part of its marketing push for the novel, plans to do six summer events (each of them a “snowball”), and it will continue to be promoted throughout this month by mailing promo materials to book retailers and librarians!
MORE THAT IS WIMPY
Did you read the Wimpy Kid Movie Diary as a tie-in to the first movie? Well, they’re making an updated second one, with the feats from the first movie, but the info on how the second one unfolded, such as with new illustrations, and more Rodrick Rules stills. And do you know that the DIY (do-it-yourself) book is getting an extended edition? With sixty more pages and sixteen new colored comics! RAD! Or, should I say, WIMPY!
And you know the surprise hits of the first two movies of the DOAWK series, right? Well, it’s been certified that a third one (The Last Straw) has begun filming this month! The destination is unknown (the highest guess is Vancouver), but the director (David Bowers, from movie two. Bowers, not Bowie or Bowser.) has been announced, and the first notification came from Rodrick (Devon Bostick) and his quote that it was “90% sure it [would] happen.” The announcement became certified by Greg (Zach Gordon) on his Facebook. Rumor has it that the movie will have a formula of scenes from book three, and a pinch from book four. Script writers and producers and planning on scripting, and they said that they need an Alex Aruda, who is rumored to be in movie three.
So, this Thanksgiving, be thankful for the sixth novel of the series! The wimpy adventure begins November 15, and forever be wimpy! And you know what else is wimpy? Today’s question, which comes from Fick on Facebrook. “If DOAWK had a game, what company would you accept it from, what rating would you gave it, and on what console would you play it?”
…This should be good. So, tell me: if the series got a game, what company would you play it from, what console would you play it on, and what ESRB rating would you give it?
Leave your responses in the comment section below or above, or on GMail (smwakasisi@gmail) or Skype! (sam.mwakasisi) If you’re a blogger here at WordPress, please like this post, and thanks for reading today’s entry in Sammwak.
p.s. What’s that? Is that the sound of everyone not checking out My Life As Fick? I think it is! I finally released a new post, but no one’s been there to check it out! See it at mylifeasfick.wordpress.com, and vote for what Fick should do to get some cash!
Hey guys it’s Sam and do you remember last year’s good-old surprise hit, the family comedy Diary of a Wimpy Kid?
Yeah, everyone loved such potty humor. Although it garnered mixed reviews (a 53% on Rotten Tomatoes, a critical B- on Yahoo Movies), I guess it was a great success. And–even better–they decided to make a SEQUEL to that movie. And–even better news–it’s already out. That’s right, wimpy fans. Diary of a Wimpy Kid 2: Rodrick Rules has made its way into theaters.
Another one of 20th Century Fox’s conductions, the book finally gets its sequel. Now, I personally haven’t seen the movie YET, but I’ll be seeing it in some time. I just know it.
If you’ve read the book, you’d most likely find it blending into the movie. Greg and Rodrick must bond because of their parents and blah blah blah from that. Now, according to critics, it precisely got ratings WORSE than the first installment. I have proof. A B- compared to a C. A 53% compared to a 40%. In spite of this, critics are still saying good things about it. It’s acceptably acted. Moderately witty. Stuff like that.
Speaking of the movie, its site finally got an upgrade. Check out Wimp Yourself 2.o, as well as videos, photos, and more! All in one powerful click…
Anyways, Diary of a Wimpy Kid 2 is now in theaters, and if you’re wimpy enough, start pestering your parents for some good seats!
Have you read the bestselling book Diary of a Wimpy Kid? Have you seen the movie, Diary of a Wimpy Kid? Have you read the book’s sequel, Rodrick Rules? Well, now…
…you get the movie! That’s right, fans and fanatics and super-crazy-psycho fanatics. Rodrick Rules finally has its own movie. In this sequel, as Greg enters seventh grade, he and his older brother – and chief tormentor – Rodrick must deal with their parents’ misguided attempts to have them bond.
And but of course Greg, Rowley, Fregley, Rodrick, Mrs. Heffley, Mr. Heffley, Manny, Chirag, Patty, and Coach Malone are reprising their roles as they did in the first film. Although, there is one new actress coming with the movie…yes, it’s a new female…
Has anyone seen this familiar face? This face belongs to none other than List, Peyton R. List. She’s starred in such movies and shows like Gossip Girl, The Sorcerer’s Apprentice, and Law & Order: Special Victims Unit. Now, she is portraying Greg’s new crush, the daughter of Heather Hills, Holly Hills.
But that’s not all! The trailer is out and it can be seen right here!:
Like Rango, this movie’s set to release in March. Late, late March. March 25, to be exact. So, if you’re wimpy but cool, start pestering your parents to get some good seats when March 25 comes!
You can even check out the site if you click HERE!
So I guess that’s all the beans I spilled and must spill. Wimpy kids out there, be on the lookout for more info on Rodrick Rules!
Hey guys it’s Sam and you probably know about the real famous Wimpy Kid series right? Well, the fifth book has finally been assigned. It’s gonna be called The Ugly Truth, and it’s supposed to depict of Greg’s 8th-grader year and how he’s already going through puberty, and if it really is the end for Greg and Rowley. Trista (from the third book) will appear in this book as a primary character (Greg’s girlfriend, actually). You know how the first book was red? Then the second was blue? Then the third was green? Then the fourth was yellow? Well, the fifth is gonna be purple. Speaking of that, here’s the cover (And remember, this is a website preview):
Will Greg overtake his final year as a middle schooler? Is it true love for him and Trista? And is it really the end of Greg and Rowley’s relationship? All the answers to these questions and more in The Ugly Truth! Coming out November 9th!
So, if I were you, I’d check out the book. And remember, this is a website preview.
